Wojtyla House Charity News - The Visit of Ewa Calus in the Wojtyla Centre

Ewa Calus, the vice mayoress of Wadowice payed a visit to the Wojtyla Friendship Centre during her official visit to Kecskemét. The illustris guest, who arrived at the festival Hírös Hét from the Polish twin city of Kecskemét was seen by Pál Farkas, the voluntary programme organizer of the poor supporter organization who provided insight into the history of the last 12 years of the institution, and he gave an account on the activities taking place in the soup-kitchen, the spirit saving activities helping with coming back into the society and about the cultural, heritageprotecting, environment protecting and building mission. József Polyák, the president of the Polish Settlement Local Government took part in the meeting as well.

As the first action of the visit Ewa Calus and Pál Farkas placed wreaths interwined by the national colours of the Hungarian and the Polish flag at the statue of Saint Pope John Paul II.

The way of the illustrious guest led to the memorial plate „House of Polish-Hungarian friendship” on the facade on the side of the Wojtyla square that was inaugurated by Jerzy Snopek, the Polish ambassador of Budapest this February.

While being here they walked together to the Wadowice street that is merely some meters far away from the Wojtyla house that is connected to the initiative of the founding director of the soup-kitchen as well as the relation of Kecskemét and Wadowice.
